Three escape with minor injuries at Bloodriver crossing

A truck overturned, landing on its side near the Bloodriver crossing at approximately 12:50am this morning.

It is believed that the driver of the truck veered off the road after misjudging the amount of space required to negotiate the turn at Bloodriver crossing. The truck veered off the road and into a stormwater ditch, causing it to turn onto its side. No serious injuries were sustained in the incident. All three occupants of the vehicle, two drivers and a conductor, were transported to Vryheid Provincial Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.
