Update: Baby locked in car at Oval Shopping Centre

An 18-month-old baby was locked in a car this morning (Monday) at the Oval Shopping Centre. It is believed that the parents got out of the car and before they could take the child out, the car doors were accidentally locked. The car key’s were locked inside the car with the child.

Public Safety Assistant Manager Mehmood Abdool broke one of the car’s windows in order to get the infant out.

Sharaj Ambulance Services also responded to the scene.

The frantic parents were delighted to see their child safe and unharmed.
