Update: More homes damaged and people injured in tornado

It was initially reported that 20 houses were severely damaged in the tornado that hit Actonville near Bergville on Tuesday night. This figure has since gone up to 58 homes partially damaged or completely destroyed.

The injury count has also gone up, from 3 to 4 people.

Superintendent Freddie Halgreen (disaster manager) of Bergville Protection Services has been at the scene to give out food parcels, blankets and plastic covering to the affected families.
