The dreaded Stage 3 load shedding is finally upon us.
In a tweet sent out earlier, Eskom said they were forced to go to Stage 3, the first time since November 2013.
This is due to a further shortage of generation capacity as additional units have had to be taken out of service for unplanned maintenance caused by technical faults, the power utility said.
Stage 3 will continue till 11pm but Eskom have stressed that many areas won’t feel the pinch as they aim to load shed as much as is needed to get the power grid stable again.
