Bulldogs excel in Margate

Bulldogs came third overall, beating Toti Durban in the plate final

The Ladysmith Bulldogs had an eventful weekend, travelling to Margate to take part in the 7-a-side Margate Warriors Tournament.

16 teams competed in the tournament, including big names like Crusaders, Ballito Dolphins, Toti Durban, Margate Warriors and other teams from the surrounding area. This meant that the Ladysmith lads were in for some tough matches indeed!

To their credit, the Bulldogs came third overall, beating Toti Durban 17-12 in the plate final.

The Bulldogs played 6 games, of which they won 4, drew 1 and lost 1.

The competition was tough, but the ‘manne’ took on the big boys from out of town and showed that they are a force to be reckoned with. They are now looking forward to the next competition in the knowledge that they are “no push-overs”, no matter how strong the opposition they are facing.

This is a great start to the season and a platform from which the players can only get better and hopefully win lots of silverware for the club. The coach is really proud and is determined to take the team to new heights this year.
