Power still out and no end in sight?

Several attempts at quick-fixes have failed, but we are aware they are going to attempt another fix within the next few hours

The municipality is silent on the issue – what a surprise! A large portion of town is without electricity and with no expected ETA on any fix, the residents affected by the over-30-hour outage just have to grin and bear it!

As anger reaches boiling point, we can report that electricians are hunting the fault. Several attempts at quick-fixes have failed, but we are aware they are going to attempt another fix within the next few hours… Let’s all hold thumbs they get it right.

It is reported that the fault is believed to be underground and attempts to re-route electricity via other sub-stations have all failed.

Similar faults in Johannesburg have taken close to a week to solve…

According to an official (not authorised to speak to the media), it is a race against time to find the fault.
