Vryheid Squash Club – Squash World Cup underway

THURSDAY, February 19, saw the battle between old and young at Vryheid Squash Club.

The over 40’s took on the under 40’s in the battle of experience vs youth. Experience cannot be beaten. Well done to the over 40’s for winning 16 – 8 points.

This week the Squash World Cup started. The following countries would have played each other: Tuesday, February 24: Sri Lanka vs New Zealand and India vs Australia; Wednesday, February 25: Pakistan vs Bangladesh and West Indies vs England. These games should be tightly matched and the ‘World Cup’ winners will be announced by April 9.

Next week’s fixtures are as follows: Tuesday, March 3: Pakistan vs India and New Zealand vs England; Wednesday, March 4: Bangladesh vs Australia and West Indies vs Sri Lanka. For any further information regarding the Squash World Cup, please contact Ingrid van Niekerk on 083 232 9676.
