GALLERY: Sonic boom sweeps through local schools
Assisted by team members Melusi Nene, Nokuthula Mathe, Angel Magugu and DJ Tnice, PG uSonic managed to raise enough funds, with the help of local business owners, to purchase school uniforms for more than 40 schoolgoing children in the Vryheid and eMondlo area, as well as Hluma Primary school.
AS PARENTS of schoolgoing children surely know, buying school uniforms is a relatively costly affair.
One of the key elements of the National Guidelines on School Uniforms states that the cost of the school uniform must not constitute an unaffordable financial burden on parents. However, in reality, many parents even struggle to put food on the table and are still faced with the added financial strain when it comes time to purchase school uniforms.
With this sad reality in mind, Team PG uSonic, headed by popular local personality and DJ, PG uSonic, have decided to do their part in giving back to the community.
Team PG uSonic would like to thank the sponsors who donated generously to their charitable cause: Vryheid Cash and Carry Liquors; Engen Garage and TFS.
