Storm chosen for SA school tennis team

Storm travels to Bloemfontein at the end of the month to represent KZN

Storm Veenstra a grade six pupil at Treverton Preparatory was selected into the KZN primary schools tennis team. Storm recently attended the final playoffs for the U13 KZN primary schools tennis team. Storm played well and won both her playoff matches – in fact, she only lost one match over the entire KZN tournament.

Her performance earned her a position as the fourth best U13 player in the province, and therefore a place in the KZN A team. This is a great achievement for Storm, who is still only U12.

Storm travels to Bloemfontein at the end of the month to represent KZN. She will play against the best girls from around South Africa in the SA National tennis tournament and trials. Storm’s Midlands team came third overall in the initial tournament and she received this bronze medal for her achievement.
