With a sharp nose and an eye for crime Constable Sabelo Ndlela has once again apprehended another dagga smuggler.
This was after 3.5 kilograms of dagga was confiscated from a passenger in a taxi travelling to Msinga. The dagga was confiscated during vehicle checks carried out on the Dundee/Helpmekaar road on March 11.
According to Constable Ndlela, “when I stopped the vehicle, I immediately smelt the pungent odour of dagga, so I asked the drivers permission to search the passengers. Upon searching I found a man seated in the back seat with a bag and a another parcel containing the dagga.”
The man has since been arrested and charged.
