Two arrested for drunken driving
Dannhauser Police clamp down on intoxicated motorists.
A case of driving under the influence of alcohol is being investigated after an accident at Hiltop Farm, Dannhauser.
W/O MT Vilikazi attended the scene and discovered that the driver, who caused the accident, was under the influence of liquor.
He was taken to a doctor for blood samples to be taken.
In a separate incident, Constable Mlaba arrested a 33-year-old man for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Constable Mlaba was on duty in the Hiltop area when he noticed a bakkie driving recklessly.
He pulled over the vehicle and noticed that the driver was under the influence. The driver then sped off towards Dannhauser, with Constsable Mlaba in hot pursuit.
When the driver was pulled over, he turned violent.
He was arrested and taken to the doctor for blood samples.
The case is under investigation.
