Public Safety officers are currently preparing for the arrival of trucks and other heavy municipal vehicles at the Town Hall. The process of removing the guns and other artifacts from in front of the Town Hall is expected to begin just after 12pm.

Council spokesperson Ubulima buka April stressed that residents will have ample time to object to the removals.

“If there are sufficient complaints, we can always put them back,” he stressed. “But we doubt people will want to hold onto this colonial legacy.”
