Low-hanging cable a danger in Monument Lane?

Residents of Monument Lane have been concerned about a low-hanging electric cable attached to a main transformer box, extended between 5 streetlight poles in the road.
The cable hung much lower than normal electrical cables, and residents feared this could be potentially dangerous.
According to Emnambithi/Ladysmith Municipality, this MV-Bundle Conductor was installed as an emergency measure to reinstate electricity supply to a large area over a recent weekend when there was a major outage due to cable faults.
The municipality commented that, “It was safe although the cable was hanging very low. The cable faults were allocated and repaired, and the temporary cable was removed.”
