One-way traffic for McKenzie Street

Residents asked to be patient as roadworks get underway.

McKenzie Street will be undergoing a bit of a revamp and residents are asked to be patient while the process goes on.

Dreykon / Klus Civils have started work on McKenzie Street from the Smith Street intersection to the Wilson Street intersection. Ernest Mahomet, Community Liaison Officer for

Ernest Mahomet, Community Liaison Officer for Dreykon / Klus Civils said that work should continue for approximately a month.

He urged the public to be patient and understanding as there will be limited access for road users.

A one-way traffic system will be put in place.

Mr Mahomet said they had taken into consideration businesses in the vicinity that required space for loading.

He also assured residents that they would be able to access their driveways during the day and after 5pm when the roadworks ended.
