Nondweni offenders abide by the law
All of the offenders complied with the conditions of house arrest.

A special monitoring was conducted on March 24 by the Department of Correctional Services (DCS) Nquthu. The targeted area was Nondweni.
21 parolees and 3 probationers were visited as per the requirement by the department, which is conducted quarterly.
The intention for this was to monitor parolees, probationers and those offenders who are awaiting trial to check and verify if they adhere to conditions of house arrests as determined by the Court of law.
During the monitoring it was found that none of the Nondweni offenders had broken the law.
According to Mr Mahlobo, Acting Head Social Re-integration, “all parolees and probationers complied with the conditions of house arrest.” He however mentioned that in the Nondweni Area they do not have offenders who are awaiting trial. Mr Mahlobo would like to thank all DSC members who were part of this initiative and made it a success.
