Nquthu Municipality implementing projects

R3.5million allocated to complete the Kwaluvisi road in Nquthu.

There are currently a few projects being implemented by the Nquthu local municipality to uplift the area and deliver it to its people.
In the KwaLuvisi area, ward 14, a 2, 8 km road is being built and R3,5 million has been budgeted to complete it. Another project that has already commenced is the building of a new community hall in Nquthu location, also in ward 14. The hall is called Empumelelweni Community Hall and is of a higher standard than the ‘normal’ halls.
Thokozani Nyandeni, Communication Officer at the municipality, said the hall will accommodate about 1000 people. While some projects continue in other areas the residences of Masotsheni area have already received their early gift. On March 16 the Nquthu Mayor, Emily Molefe, handed over the newly built community hall in the area.
