Driver injured as bakkie rolls
The bakkie ploughed through trees and also a fence as it rolled down the embankment
The driver of a Toyota bakkie was injured in a crash this afternoon (Friday) on the P455 (Colenso Pieters road) after the bakkie rolled.
It is alleged that the driver was travelling on the road heading towards Colenso when she lost control of the bakkie causing it to go off the roadway and roll down an embankment.
The bakkie ploughed through trees and also a fence.
The driver was treated on scene for moderate injuries and transported to hospital by Sharaj Ambulance Services.
EMRS and Ezakheni police also responded to the scene.
Traffic passed with caution, as emergency personnel controlled the situation.
Traffic was not obstructed in any way as the bakkie rolled completely off the road.
