The first “chicken run” golf was held on Wednesday and the chicken was sponsored by Veronica Donaldson. Lorein de Wit will be sponsoring the next chicken so please join the ladies in their “chicken run Wednesday” at R50 for nine holes.
The meat competition, now at R85 per person, was played on Friday and won by Mandla Mthethwa on 27 points. Heinrich Meyer was second on 24 Points. The monthly darts competition was won by Walter du Plessis and Barry Sandy – congratulations.

Club competition 
The Club Competition played on Saturday in the form of Individual Stableford was won by Silindo Khanyile on 42 points, counted out from Dan Schotlz, Mandla Mthethwa and Debbie Catlett. Two Clubs were carded by Jurie Engebrecht, Dan Scholtlz and Henk Booysens.
The Match-Play Championships were held over the weekend and once again thank you to all who participated. Thank you to the players for having so graciously paid for the competition as this would not be the norm. Also thank you to all the good sportsmanship shown by all the players in the game of golf and support of players. The winners were as follows: A division – Jurie Englebrecht beat Jo Khumalo 1 up in the B division; Deon Sadaw beat Danie van Mollendorff 4/3 and Debbie Catlett beat Sandy Browning 2/1.
Flowers will be for sale at the Club (clivias, orchids etc.) on the Eventide Day on May 9.
