1 shot dead in Ezakheni drive-by shooting

An elderly man was shot dead in a drive-by shooting this afternoon (Wednesday) on the Ezakheni road near E-section.

The man sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene.

It is alleged that handguns were used in the killing.

The suspects are still at large.

The Ladysmith Dog Unit (K9), Crime Intelligence Gathering (CIG) Unit and Ezakheni police are currently conducting a manhunt for the killers.

The road was closed while police took down the details of the shooting, and a large crowd from the nearby community gathered to see what was going on.
