Major Dagga Bust in Glencoe

Glencoe Station Commissioner, Lieutenant Colonel SP Masuku, commended the officers for a job well done.

Glencoe Police have weeded out 244 parcels of dagga, and more than 60 tablets of mandrax, in two separate drug busts this past week.
Three quick-acting officers, Constable Autar, Constable Mweli and Warrant Officer Mkhwanazi followed up on information pertaining to suspicious activity near the railway line in Glencoe.
Upon investigation, they discovered a suspicious looking lid near the railway line. After opening it, a drum with 244 packaged parcels of dagga was discovered.

‘Drug usage, especially dagga, is a growing problem in society, and this bust decreases the problem adequately,” Warrant Officer and Crime Prevention Commander, Ramgoolam, remarked.
In a separate drug bust, 42 half tablets, 24 quarters and full tablets of mandrax were confiscated from a home in Sithembile. Warrant Officer Bhagwandeen of the Glencoe Dog Unit followed up on information and successfully arrested one man.
