Gentlemen and ladies, start your engines!

The tension is mounting and the excitement is building for this weekend’s ‘speed-tacular’ of speed and precision, at the Oval Track.

A special feature of this weekend will be the powerful V8 demo.

Petrolhead and speed demon, Ronnie Greyling will make the trip to Newcastle with the promise of another spectacular show behind the wheel.

One and all are welcome to attend.

Gates open at 2pm and the pits are cleared for the public to view their favourite vehicles from 3pm, while racing begins at 6pm.

Fees are R35 for adults, R25 for school pupils and R10 for cars.

Do not forget the women’s race, where beauty and motorsport talent combine, or any of the other adrenaline-fuelled races on the dirt track for that matter.

Remember the coolbox, braai and blankets for when the sun sets.

For more information or to join the Oval Raceway, contact Boet Buys on 083 467 6660 or Johann de Jager on 084 300 0971.
