After many months of uncertainty and protests, Dannhauser’s new Community Healthcare Centre (CHC) will officially open today. The mini hospital will provide a huge healthcare boost for residents who have had to travel to Dundee or Madadeni for treatment.

The mini hospital will provide a huge healthcare boost for residents who have had to travel to Dundee or Madadeni for treatment.
The opening date of the CHC was shrouded in mystery of late, following protests by members of the community.
The angry residents threatened that the hospital would not open unless more locals were hired for jobs.
The MEC for Health, Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo, will, however, officially open the hospital today (Wednesday).
