Mr Omarjee was shot and killed in what is suspected to have been an attempted robbery on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 28.
He and his son were travelling back from the Madevu Store to Ladysmith and while dropping off staff members, they came under fire by unknown gunmen. The gunmen approached from two sides, firing at the bakkie.
