According to SnowReportSA there have been traces of snow falling this very moment in sections the Drakensberg. That explains the biting cold we have been experiencing since yesterday.

A chance of extensive snow fall has been expected for the Eastern Cape, Lesotho and the Western Cape, though the Drakensberg is currently just facing a few flurries.
