Driver injured as truck overturns on R103

A truck overturned on the R103 near Colenso Heights this morning (Thursday) injuring the driver.

The truck was coming from Durban heading towards Ladysmith when it lost control and overturned.

Its alleged that the driver heard a loud bang and then the truck overturned onto its side going down a hill blocking two lanes heading towards Colenso from Ladysmith.

The driver of the truck was transported to hospital by ambulance services.

The truck was fully loaded with food items.

Public Safety, RTI, Fire and Emergency Services and police responded to the scene.

Public Safety officers conducted traffic control as traffic passed the scene with caution and only 1 lane of the road way is open.
