School Shooting: Heavily armed police outside court

Community pack into courtroom for school shooting case.

Heavily armed police officers are patrolling outside the Nquthu Magistrates Court, where three men are appearing for the murder of Vusi Ntombela.

Mr Ntombela, who is the Nquthu Council Speaker, was shot dead at Luvisi Primary School, where he serves as Deputy Principal.

Two primary school learners were also shot in the attack. A 12-year-old female learner succumbed to her injuries while a male learner is in critical condition in hospital.

People are currently forcing their way into the courtroom.

It is believed that the gunman has made a confession to police.
