Hope for destitute animals in Estcourt
The committee reports that they are waiting a non-profit organisation number before they can begin fundraising to keep the shelter afloat
The Estcourt Animal Shelter is steadily making its way to becoming a fully-fledged private place of safety and refuge for needy animals. In March this year the Estcourt and District SPCA was officially closed and this was when the idea for the Estcourt Animal Shelter was born.
Based at the former SPCA premises, the shelter currently cares for a small number of cats and dogs with the limited resources available.
The committee reports that they are waiting a non-profit organisation (NPO) number before they can begin fundraising to keep the shelter afloat.
