Dannhauser thief caught red-handed
Young robber was foiled by quick acting police officers.
The Dannhauser Police have been praised for their speedy response as they helped bring another criminal to book.
Police apprehended a 19-year-old man who broke into Tip Top Supermarket.
The 19-year-old was caught red-handed inside the store with a bag full of groceries.
He was arrested after the alarm company let the owners know that the alarm had been triggered.
They in turn phoned police who nabbed the youngster.
Two of his accomplices escaped when they saw the police approaching. R5 000 in stock was stolen.
However, the culprit did tell police who his friends were and where they could be found.
He appeared in court and investigations into the matter continue.
Idris Reheman of Tip Top praised W/O Vilakazi and Sergeant Zwane for a job well done in helping stop crime in the area.
