A burst pipe to one of the main waterlines in Hollyhock Avenue has left many residents without water since this morning (Wednesday).

The pipe burst during the early parts of this morning with some residents waking up to find low water pressure in their taps.

Uthukela workers are on the scene of the burst pipe in Hollyhock avenue and are attending to the problem. A grader is being used to dig the ground so that a new pipe can be installed quickly.

The Uthukela District Municipality would like to inform the public of Acaciavale and surrounding areas about the burst pipe in Hollyhock Avenue.

This has caused water interruption in some parts of Acaciavale.

It will take 6/8 hours to repair the damaged pipe. Uthukela apologises for any inconvenience.

Residents in the area say that they are tired of the burst pipes in Hollyhock Avenue after numerous burst pipes in the Hollyhock area.

This after many areas in Aloe Park were left without water yesterday.
