Khabonina Social Club promotes women empowerment

Determined women unite.

There is no force equal to that of a determined woman.

It is this mantra that is the driving force behind the newly established Khabonina Ladies Social Club. Khabonina, which means homely, where comfort is sought, sums up what the club stands for.

Iris Kemp-Griffiths, the mind behind the idea, wanted to create a group where women could let their hair down, network, empower each other and help each other to become better women.

Khabonina had their first official meeting at the Battlefields Country Lodge on May 30.

It was here that they were treated to a lovely three-course meal and cocktails thanks to Simon Manyathi.

Bishop Thulani Xaba, who is also a Life Coach, inspired the ladies with his speech.

The ladies were then treated to half-price specials on massages, manicures, pedicures and other pamper sessions from LN Connoisseurs.

Great prizes were also up for grabs, including an overnight stay for two at the Battlefields Country Lodge.

The next Khabonina Ladies Social will be held on August 8 to mark Woman’s Month.

All women are encouraged to join. For more information on how you can join, contact Iris on 071 487 2396, Judy on 084 238 7160 or Lynette on 083 357 8874.
