A casual worker helping with household renovations at a home in the Hospital Park area was killed when a wall he was working on collapsed, crushing him.

The worker, believed to be in his 40s, sustained serious head injuries and is believed to have died instantaneously.

Sharaj and police responded to desperate calls for help from the homeowners.

Police are investigating the cause of death.

The body has not been removed, and police and rescue workers are still at the scene.
