Colourful hockey experience awaits

Get ready for a colour extravaganza as the Newcastle Hockey Club hosts its first ever Colour Run Hockey Tournament this Saturday.

The Newcastle Hockey Club is inviting everyone to be a part of this fun sporting event and play their part in building Newcastle’s love for the sport.

The tournament will be a five-a-side format, with the maximum of seven players per team, of whom only three players will be allowed to be men.

Registration for the tournament will take place on Saturday at 12pm on the field, and games will begin at 1pm.

Entry for the tournament is R40 per person and includes colours for the players.

Residents who participated in the Vodacom Newcastle Winter Festival Colour Festival will remember the fun involved in event, and can expect the same and more this weekend.

Newcastle Hockey Club committee member, Candice Bond invited every member of the community regardless of hockey experience to join in.
