Making a change, one cup at a time

Do your bit for a good cause and host a Cuppa.

One cup could change a life, thanks to the Cuppa For CANSA.
Cuppa For CANSA is an opportunity for friends, family and work colleagues to come together and share a Cuppa to help those affected by cancer.
Between June and October 2015, CANSA encourages everyone to host a Cuppa For CANSA event.
By hosting or attending a Cuppa, you will be helping CANSA to provide much needed care and support to cancer patients that stay at CANSA Care Homes while receiving treatment.
A Cuppa For CANSA event can be large, small or intimate (be it for a group of friends, a church group or a book club).
People can hold a Cuppa in their hom
es, at the zoo, in their gardens, in parks, on top of mountains, on boats, at country clubs, in church halls, community halls or even hotels, the possibilities are endless.
“The Cuppa For CANSA concept can be adapted and allows for some wonderful new and imaginative ideas to be shared.
You can opt for a casual Cuppa, or add a quirky and fun theme to your event to add some flavour to it, by hosting a Victorian Tea Party, Tea with a Botanical Theme, a High Tea; a Women’s Day Tea, a Men’s potjie cook-off, a mother-daughter tea and so on. This is your opportunity to be creative and have fun,” says CANSA CEO, Elize Joubert.
Cuppa For CANSA is a social and fun way to support a CANSA Care Home that provides ‘home-away-from-home’ accommodation to patients undergoing cancer treatment at oncology clinics far from their homes.
Guests at the 12 CANSA Care Homes situated in the main metropolitan areas, stay for an average of six weeks and receive home-away-from-home accommodation, free transport to and from cancer treatment centre’s as well as nutritious meals.
If you or your company will be hosting a Cuppa For CANSA in 2015, send CANSA your selfies or ‘pledges’ as to why you are hosting a Cuppa For CANSA.
So get the coffee and cameras ready, and share your Cuppa using the hashtag #CuppaForCANSA on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
If you would like to host a Cuppa For CANSA in the area, contact Estella Naicker on 079 256 7570 or 034 315 1751.
