Taxi owner gunned down by ‘young men’

Police are searching for two men wanted for the murder.

Percy Ngubane (61), the taxi owner who was shot four times near Hi-Way Motors, was gunned down by two young men.

A witness said that Mr Ngubane, also known as Mbomvu, had just bought electricity from the garage and was opening the door of his car when he was shot.

According to the witness, the gunmen did not cover their faces.

Provincial SAPS Spokesperson, Major Thulani Zwane, said that nothing was taken from the deceased and that the motive for the killing was unknown at this stage.

No arrests have yet been made.
