Water wasted in Durnacol

While Northern Natal is suffering from the effects of drought and water restrictions, precious water continues to leak in Durnacol.

Residents of Phelandaba, in Durnacol, have complained about water leaks from a nearby tank, that is an ongoing problem.

The water has leaked so much that it now is entering people’s yards.

A resident of the area said that they constantly reported the problem to the municipality but that the problem has not yet been fixed.

Despite workers attending to the problem, residents say they have made it worse as opposed to fixing it.

Amajuba District Municipality, who are in charge of water in the area, have been contacted for comment, but as of yet, none has been received.
