Three injured in taxi accident

KwaZulu Private Ambulance were first on the scene and attended to the three injured patients, whose injuries ranged from minor to moderate.

A taxi was rear-ended by a truck on Thursday afternoon near the intersection of the R33 and the Ncome Prison turn off.

It is alleged that the taxi stopped in the middle of the road, after which a truck collided with it from behind, resulting in substantial damages to the rear of the taxi as well as injuries to the commuters who were seated in the back of the vehicle.

They were treated at the scene and subsequently transported to Vryheid Provincial Hospital for further treatment.
