Potholes – It all started so well

It appears, however, that the light at the end of that tunnel went out for this stretch of pock-marked asphalt and it was overlooked by those responsible for the road repairs.

Motorists travelling along President Street in the area between Kommissie and Smal Streets, may have grown accustomed to dodging potholes lately, as this small stretch of road has become ‘home’ to a set of almost unavoidable craters in the tarred surface.

It seemed that something was being done about the potholes earlier this year when municipal workers could be seen repairing the roads in April.

It appears, however, that the light at the end of that tunnel went out for this stretch of pock-marked asphalt and it was overlooked by those responsible for the road repairs.

By the look of it, the potholes were prepared for fixing and filling, but it seems that is as far as it went.
