Fun in the sun at Fun Family Bowls day

Fun in the sun was had on Sunday during the Fun Family day that was followed by wonderful socialising and braaiing.
Natal Open bowls: In the Natal Open bowls pairs tournament being held in Durban, Ian and Dirk were runners up in their section, only losing one game in the last round. They were beaten by the Funnel brothers, who have previously won the Friedmann Cup.
Nan and Sylvia won their section and went on to beat Rita Meyer and Sharon Nicol from Empangeni Country Club in the playoffs to go through to the quarterfinals.
Pongola Winter tournament is on July 25, teams wanting to play must enter their names.
Squires Sports Bar Business League: Squires Sports Bar Business League had some close exciting games in the pool section.
Pool Section:
Squires was in a good lead with 22 points, TriStar in second position with 18 points. In the Darts section TriStar are far ahead with 24 points, NEMS in second with 18 points.
The Stone contenders in the Pool are in a three-way tie. MOTHS, Silver Fox and Girls Rule!
In the darts Girls Rule closely followed by Porto’s, Squires and Battlefields Sports.
