Vryheid star selected for SA Country Districts team

LEEROY Holmes has earned his place in the South African Country District hockey team which is set to compete in the inter-provincial tournament in Pretoria from August 29 to September 5.
The Vryheid hockey player was included in the National Squad after playing a starring role for the KwaZulu-Natal Inland team in the South African Country District tournament which culminated in Limpopo on July 11.

The KwaZulu-Natal inland side dominated the tournament, finishing as overall winners of the tournament and defeating the Southern Cape side in the finals, 1-0. The Cape side has been undefeated for the past seven years.
