Hugo a star in the courts and on the pitch

In cricket Hugo not only played in South Africa but also abroad in England for two years playing in Stratford upon Avon for the team, Stratford Bards and three County Cricket games for Warwickshire

Hugo Buitendach is a star when it comes to the tennis court and on the cricket pitch – latent talent that he has displayed from a very young age.

Hugo has been playing tennis from the age of 10-years-old and cricket from the age of 7-years-old.

Both tennis and cricket have been in his blood and he played in both codes for his primary school.

When he reached high school Hugo decided to focus on tennis and treated that as a priority.

He then made the NKZN team for 3 years running which in itself is a huge achievement.

In his matric year Hugo made the Natal Provincial team for tennis which was one of his greatest achievements.

In cricket Hugo not only played in South Africa but also abroad in England for two years playing in Stratford upon Avon for the team, Stratford Bards and three County Cricket games for Warwickshire.

Hugo is formerly a number 3 batsmen and is well known for his big hits over the top and also his powerful drives to the boundary.

Hugo is currently a teacher at Egerton Primary School and has been there for two and a half years.

He also engages in cricket coaching at the school and tennis coaching over the weekends. Tennis is played at the Ladysmith Country Club on Saturday afternoons.

Hugo would like to call on all tennis players, young and old, to come and play.

He would like to get as many players as possible, so that he can organize tournaments and so forth.
