End of the road for the Beaconsfield horror house

Residents who passed the house, and visitors to Eventide, spoke of how the street kids and other 'undesirables' hung out at the property and harassed them.

There was a house in Beaconsfield Street
They called the horror one

And it was the ruin of many a poor boy

The house, which served as a hangout for vagrants, came under the spotlight recently, when it was mentioned in a Ward 2 committee meeting.
Council then approached the owners of the property and they in turn decided to knock it down. They have hinted that they are looking at developing the property in the future.
Residents who passed the house, and visitors to Eventide, spoke of how the street kids and other ‘undesirables’ hung out at the property and harassed them.

Despite the negative response the house got from onlookers, there were a few on Facebook who remembered it for its more glorious days.
