Veterans Golden Games in action

The National Veterans Golden Age Games is the premier senior adaptive rehabilitation programme in the KZN, and the only national multi-event sports and recreational seniors’ competition programme designed to improve the quality of life for all older veterans, including those with a wide range of abilities and disabilities.
The VGA challenges and encourages senior veterans to be proactive in embracing a healthier lifestyle.
The games are open to veterans aged 55 or older who receive health care from the health Department. The Endumeni Municipality last week held these games at the Oval grounds to nominate veterans that would represent Umzinyathi at the Golden Games in Durban where they will perform rugby ball throw, juskei, duck walk, passing the ball and goal shooting and athletics.
