Quads for Quads Rally get Wasbank roaring with life
Wasbank hosts the 12th annual Quads for Quads stop over on gruelling trip to Gauteng to Ballito.

The sleepy hamlet of Wasbank came live on Saturday morning with the crackle and roar of quad bikes and off-road motorcycles as participants in the annual Quads 4 Quads off-road motorcycle event from Johannesburg to Durban stopped over for a lunch break.
Anette Hannemann, who helped co-ordinated the event said with the back-up support, around 500 competitors were making the trip that finished in Ballito on Sunday.
“This in the 12th event to raise money for The QuadPara Association of South Africa (QASA).It is not a race but rather an amazing adventure,” she said.
This year, the stop-over was at Wasbank Primary School. Local Wasbank residents, such as Shafique of Kabir’s Fruiterers ensured that their guests were warmly received.
Werner Mostert of Moto Netix was the ‘on-board mobile mechanic’ who worked tirelessly to ensure that the machines kept going.
The Quads 4 Quads off-road motorcycle event from Johannesburg to Durban & back is a trip of 1000 km each way to raise funds for The QuadPara Association of South Africa (QASA).
The organisers, Glenn Foley & Corinne Andrews of Family Adventures social off road club have chosen QASA as the beneficiary of this fundraising ride – and over the last 12 years, more than R8 million has been raised through this event.
There is a great relationship between QASA & Family Adventures and the Quads 4 Quads event ensures that the members of QASA benefit from the projects delivered by QASA.
