A Ford Sierra in which four people were travelling in went out of control and was involved in a collision with an incoming Mercedes Benz just outside Glencoe.
The victims included a man, his wife and another woman.
Witnesses said the driver who was injured in the crash was rushing the man to hospital at the time of the accident.
