Comedy fans are in for an evening of pure comedy genius this December.
On December 12, Riaad Moosa takes to the stage with his new show, The Best of Riaad Moosa from 8pm at Blackrock Casino.
In addition to being a qualified medical doctor, an award-winning presenter, writer and actor, Dr Moosa is also one of the country’s most acclaimed comedians.
His first love is making people laugh and is affectionately known as South Africa’s Comedy Doctor.
As a comedian, Dr Moosa proves that sometimes, laughter is really the best medicine.
He also recently starred as Ahmed Kathrada in Anant Singh’s Oscar and Golden Globe nominated movie, Mandela – Long Walk to Freedom, and previously played the lead in the internationally acclaimed Material, which he also co-wrote.
This movie won him a South African Film and Television Award (SAFTA) for Best Actor.
Material also received SAFTA awards for Best Film, Best Director and Best Supporting Actor in 2013.
The Best of Riaad Moosa includes his journey on the international comedy scene and reworked material from his three one-man shows, Strictly Halaal, For The Baracka and Doctor’s Orders.
