His audition at the National Talent Search in Durban in July this year, earned him a chance to be scouted by the talent agency, Just You.
Performing in front of thousands of cheering and applauding people was always a dream for Lindokuhle Tsotetsi.
Born in December 1996, Lindokuhle is a natural performer, participating in school concerts and church sketches.
The 19-year-old not only has a great gift for singing, but also the ability to act and model.
Lindokuhle started singing while he attended crèche and hasn’t stopped since.
After matriculating in 2014 from Hope High School, his passion has grown, and he wishes to pursue a career as a professional singer by furthering his studies in music and arts.
“It’s really amazing how research can help you achieve your goals. If I didn’t do research, I wouldn’t have had the chance to audition in the first place,” said Lindokuhle.
His audition at the National Talent Search in Durban in July this year, earned him a chance to be scouted by the talent agency, Just You.
Elsubie Verlinden, who is the owner/producer at Just You, and Elouise Janse van Rensburg, Head of Training Academy and Director of Admissions for Just You, recognised Lindokuhle’s talent.
He was awarded a chance to be one of 49 finalists out of 120 participants, who performed at the Johannesburg Talent Show earlier this month.
After his performance in Johannesburg, Kim Myers, Executive Director of Applause Rising Talent Showcase, an international talent agency, offered him the opportunity to perform in the United States.
He was one of 95 finalists from a group of 1200 participants nationally, who was bestowed this honour.
“It feels amazing to be scouted to go to the US!” exclaimed Lindokuhle.
The show is scheduled to take place in America in July 2016, where international talent agencies will make their presence known.
He will be showcasing his talent to the world, representing South Africa.
The prize up for grabs, along with various trophies, is a scholarship to the value of $200 000 and admittance to the New York Film Academy.
Different countries around the world will also be participating in this global event, giving all participants a great opportunity at exposure and acquiring the acknowledgement and recognition their talent deserves.
