Talk and bring ‘n braai at Old Toll House
Come to the Old Toll House in Settlers Drive to learn more about author Denys Watkins-Pitchford
There will be a talk about well-known author Denys Watkins-Pitchford at the Old Toll House in Settlers Drive tonight at 6pm. The talk will be followed by a sociable bring ‘n braai. No entrance fee will be charged.
As a British naturalist, illustrator and children’s author, Denys Watkins-Pitchford was born on July 25, 1905, in Laport, United Kingdom, and passed away on September 8, 1990. He studied at the Royal College of Art and won the 1942 Carnegie Medal for British children’s books. He was most famous for his book The Little Grey Men in 1942.
In all his books appeared the following:

Look ye also while life lasts.”
