The annual Diwali celebration will be taking place on Saturday, October 31.

This colourful event, which is hosted by the Estcourt Hindu Cultural Society, is a highlight on the social calendar as it brings together the Hindu community and reminds us of the age-old lesson that good triumphs over evil.

The Diwali celebration will be held at the Maha Gaythri Temple in Canna Avenue from 2.30pm for 3pm. A variety of items is on the agenda and includes local and national entertainment, which is sure to have the audience captivated.

Keeran Eshwarlall, who is a student of the legendary Anup Jalota and also a finalist in the television series SA’s Got Talent, will be rendering bhajans, ghazals and golden oldies. Guest Speaker Tunusha Naidu is a blind attorney and will be highlighting the importance of Diwali.

Everyone is welcome to attend and supper and sweetmeats will be served.
