Giving Hope Youth Organisation is a newly-founded non-profit organisation that is based in Umtshezi. The organisation was started by two young men, Thulani Ndlovu (26) and Sbonelo Majozi (26) earlier this year.

The pair is working hard to provide essential services to communities in need. On Thursday, October 15 the organisation commemorated International Rural Women’s Day in Frere.

They went door-to-door profiling each family and noting down problems that residents encountered. These comments and concerns will be forwarded to the Social Development Department. The young men say that people in Frere are ‘suffering’ with poor living conditions and lack of proper services.

“We are carrying out this initiative by ourselves, without any support from donors, with the intention of bringing hope to the lives of residents in Umtshezi,” they said.
