The Sat-Chit-Ananda Temple recently erected its lotus domes, an endeavour towards creating a more spiritual community.
The eight domes were acquired from India earlier this year.
“The domes emit vibrations that enhance spiritual energy during worship,” said Avikar Singh, a representative from the temple.
Mr Singh said the domes were also chosen for their symbolic meaning.
“Just like the lotus plant that grows out of dirty water, but is yet separate from its surroundings, the domes represent the way we should live away from the vices in the world and rather live in purity,” he said.
Mr Singh said the temple’s committee was finalising the final touch ups to complete the temple’s construction, aiming to host the inaugural celebration next month.
“We still need to finish the ceilings, electrical side such as the lighting, as well as the tiling.”
To do this, the temple needed the community’s assistance.
“We need help through financing and sponsorships. If everybody join hands, it will take quicker to complete,” Mr Singh concluded.
